Hosted by the American Fertility Association, Family Matters: The National Fertility and Adoption Conference is the largest annual event of its kind. More than three dozen workshops are led by top physicians and healthcare professionals, providing fresh perspective on in vitro fertilization (IVF), female and male factor infertility, ovum donation, pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD), blastocyst transfer, alternative medicine, urology, adoption issues, and more. Spring is in the air -- with all its glory -- on the Cherry Blossom Walk to be held on Roosevelt Island on Saturday, Saturday, May 2, at 11:00 am
Take a 75-minute tour of the historic sites on Roosevelt Island and rejoice in the abundant color of the cherry trees in full bloom. The tour, led by Judith Berdy, President of the Roosevelt Island Historical Society, will highlight the principal events and personages of the Island over the past 300 years. This is the second in a series of two walks offering botanical and historical observations about Roosevelt Island. The Magnolia Blossom Walk was held on April 12. For reservations, please contact rooseveltislandhistory@usa.com or 212-688-4836. A donation of $5 to the RIHS is requested.
Directions: Take the Tram at 59th Street and Second Avenue or the F train to Roosevelt Island. Meet at the Visitor Center at the Tram Plaza.

NYC 's Museum of the City of New York - New York City

Found at this museum are more than 1.5 million paintings, prints, photographs, costumes, toys, rare books, manuscripts, sculptures, decorative arts objects, and other artifacts that comprise New York City's historic treasury. Within this collection are: more than a million prints and photographs depicting all aspects of NYC from 17th Century to the present; a complete archival record of every Broadway production within the Theater Collection; and furniture, period rooms and many objects representing the history of material culture in NYC.
Hours:
Tuesday through Sunday, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, The Museum is closed on Mondays.
The Museum will be open to the public on the following holidays: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day (Fourth of July), and Labor Day.
Admission:
The following contributions are suggested:
$9.00 for adults, and $5.00 for senior citizens and students, $20.00 for families (maximum two adults), Museum members are free.
Free admission on Sundays between 10 AM and 12 PM.
